I like Elizabeth Berg's writing, but in this novel of a marriage told from the husband's perspective, I just didn't find the characters engaging. I don't have to like a character to enjoy a book, but they do have to draw my interest. This was a good Saturday afternoon read, but I did not enjoy it as much as her other novels.
