Sara MacDonald. Much of my life has been as a gypsy without roots. I travelled as a child, went to many schools, ending my education in a strict Catholic convent in Malta while my parents lived in Cyprus. Sea Music This book is so beautifully written with love and forgiveness flowing from the pages. There exudes respect for each individual regardless of their position. This includes the love and respect for the person with altzheimer's, the strange girl, the German stranger, and even Anna with the terrible attitude. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. When she finds a cache of long-hidden documents, the family will be forced to confront upheavals caused by wartime secrets and domestic disputes — and unlock the door to new beginnings, and new loves. Set in Cornwall, London, and Warsaw, Sea Music is a sonorous, transcendent journey that no reader will soon forget. Sara MacDonald has created a wonderful range of characters, depicted with great tenderness and understanding, against a background of the human price paid for the upheavals caused by prejudice, violence and wars today and yesterday. A wonderful novel for all the fans of Anita Shreve, Niall Williams and Rosamund Pilcher.
